Flavours of the month
This month's list of favourite singles has received a bit of a hip-hop and soul injection, as there is a lot of fascinating stuff going on these days, from international stars such as Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak to Belgian talent like Glints. However, noiserock is dominating the chart, mainly represented by A Place To Bury Strangers, The Voidz, Elefant... We have half of The Strokes in our list, as both Julian Casablancas and Albert Hammond Jr.'s own projects are alive and kicking again. Elvis Peeters, lead singer of Aroma Di Amore and excellent novelist, is back with a brand new band named Wilderman. And there's Parquet Courts represented with two great songs, the same for Moby. For a lot of the amazing songs below I'm indebted to Belgian music blogs such as Dansende Beren and Luminous Dash, as well as Kinky Star Radio... infinite sources of great music.
