It ain't easy being grey
In a world of black and white
Seeing things from different angles
Out of the darkness, into the light
The white think you're too black
And the black think you're too white
You'll make friends with the grey
But they're as rare as a sunbeam at night
For hate is stronger than a tree
When it's rooted in self-righteousness
And the wind can't change its course
And the sun can't reach its heart
It is a big black baobab
Standing lonely on the savanna
Waiting to die
