Top 100 romans

Voor de periode met eindejaarslijstjes losbarst deel ik graag nog eens een geüpdatete top 100 van romans. Dat is eigenlijk jaren geleden. Ondertussen zijn er heel wat Belgische en Nederlandse romans bij gekomen, zoals de klassieker Turks fruit van Jan Wolkers of het recentere De draaischijf van Tom Lanoye. Ook Zadie Smith en Ian McEwan overspoelen de lijst. De nieuwste van Jonathan Coe moet ik nog lezen, maar die zal ongetwijfeld ook de lijst halen. De hoogste nieuwkomer in al die jaren is The Underground Railroad van Colson Whitehead, een maagstomp van een roman, tevens meesterlijk in een serie gegoten. De recentste boeken komen uit 2022, en dat zijn er ineens een paar. Hopelijk kan ik jullie hiermee een pak nieuwe leestips bezorgen. (verschijnt binnenkort)
