Flavours of the month

From Iceland to Niger, from electropunk to afrobeat, our new top 30 and playlist is much more diverse than the last ones. So slightly less rock, more... well... anything that sounds great and that 2021 should be remembered for. As always when Godspeed You! Black Emperor releases a new album/single it immediately goes to the top. This brand new epic composition is the opener of the new album and consists of four parts, adding up to 22 minutes of what post-rock should sound like in the 2020s. When it comes to experimental rock black midi is one of the leading bands in the last few years, and their latest single is truly mesmerizing... and utterly confusing to anyone used to nice and easy radio pop. The late Tony Allen posthumously released an amazing collaboration with Ben Okri and Skepta, check it out. His good friend Damon Albarn did a song with French rapper Poté, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
