Flavours of the month

What a glorious year for music... already. Although the top 3 (The Cure, Car Seat Headrest, Fontaines D.C.) seems to be carved in stone, there are many songs in this list that would deserve this enviable position. Here in Belgium we have Flying Horseman and Oproer, both of whom match the level of any international band out there, but lesser known Belgian bands and artists such as Fred Angst, De Nooit Moede, KOALA and Wolvenberg deserve all your attention as well :) And international bands such as Racing Mount Pleasant (previously called Kingfisher) and WITCH are virtually unknown to the general public but recently released some astonishing music. More surprisingly, the Danish band Decorate. Decorate. returned with a brand new single, after over a decade of absence - a personal favourite. Looking forward to that album and - who knows? - a European tour. Another surprise is the long awaited comeback of Pulp, Britpop sweethearts. Glad to see that Arcade Fire, The Raveonettes, Portugal. the Man and These New Puritans are back from a couple of years' absence. Great bands from the Nillies/Tennies that still produce some top-notch music. Finally, Getdown Services just might be the next big thing.
