Flavours of the month

No band sounds like autumn in August the way bar italia does. They're my new favourite band of 2023 and I'm addicted to the sound of their latest record Tracey Denim. This list features three songs of theirs. The Kills are back with two amazing singles. In the strange battle NY vs. LA it's 'New York' that comes in at #1. The first single of the surprising collab between Lol Tolhurst, Budgie, Jacknife Lee and James Murphy is also called 'Los Angeles'. More music you can dance to with Yard Act, and a new single of an epic 8 minutes, Holy Hannah and Vitalic. And we finally have some decent hip hop in our list again, with Little Simz, Kendrick Lamar and Denzel Curry; while postpunk has almost disappeared. Besides bar italia and The Kills we have some more bands that feature more than once in the list: GUM and Blur.
