2026 has been spoiling us with lots of great new music. First of all, we've seen the release of HELP(2), a powerful compilation album on War Child Records, a soundtrack for these dark times we're living in, with Arctic Monkeys, The Last Dinner Party, Pulp, Kae Tempest and many more. Kim Gordon, Deadletter, Gorillaz, Grian Chatten and A Place To Bury Strangers each feature twice in this month's list. Damon Albarn actually features three times. And there is Flea, who may as well have made the most memorable song in the past winter. Though released in December 2025 'A Plea' might become synonymous with 2026. I also discovered some new bands in the past few weeks, such as Kerala Dust, 1000 Rabbits and My New Band Believe, all of which I can warmly recommend. Last but not least, don't forget about the best of Belgium, with The Hickey Underworld, Nimbus Cart and Wijf. Armed with all this rage we might just have a fighting chance to make it through 2026.
