Flavours of the month

The new year started off with lots of crazy geopolitical shit but also with lots of brand new music. Out of all those late 2025 and early 2026 singles I made an eclectic list of the 30 songs you need to hear in the first month of the new year. There is a bit of jazz - Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea went solo again and produced two heavenly singles. There is still quite a lot of postpunk - we have Deadletter and BIG SPECIAL, both featuring twice with songs that make you want to throw your heart out. There's groovy and quirky music to dance to - do check Party Dozen, Pitou and Many, Indiana. And who can resist the heartbreaking ballad by Camille Yembe?
